Opening up to Our Conscious state

Opening up to our Conscious State

How can we grow from purifying our false(negative)state of being to find peace and joy?

How can we truly practice to be courageous in order to live in our True State of Being to share with others?

How do we manifest/witness peace,loving-kindness and joy from within ourselves and outwardly to others?

How to make our lives within our family/friends/circle of people we associate with,our environment and our world,a harmonious place to thrive in?

When there were moments to be angry,abrupt and obnoxious

what did I do or can I choose to do?______

When there were chances to hate,to resent and hold on to bitterness,

what did I do or can I choose to do?______

When there were the opportunity for pride and arrogance to arise,

what did I do or can I choose to do ?______

When there were openness to be selfish,greedy and materialisitic,

what did I do or can I choose to do ?_______

When there were trials and temptations,

what did I do or can I choose to do?_______

When there were times of fear and defending falsehood,

what did I do or can I choose to do?_______

When there were reasons to blame,speak against,spread rumours and be irresponsible,

what did I do or can I choose to do?_______

When I felt Loving, joyful and kind,

what did I do?_____________________________________________

Nothing will last Forever

Nothing last Forever

When we experience any kind of loss,despair and disappointments….we grieve,we feel the aching of the heart, anger arises,we hurt,we mourn and perhaps torment others and ourselves further.The sadness looms indefinitely!

—Do we want it to last forever?

—Will it last forever?

When we experience happiness,we laugh,we feel ‘high and frivolous’,we feel ecstatic,we celebrate,we smile and perhaps wastefully treat others.

—Can it last forever?

—Will it last forever?

When the mind is busy nattering and chattering with non-stop worries,fabricating stories of past remembraces and drifting with anxiety over future endeavours.

—Do we want it to last forever?

—Will it last forever?

When we witness suffering within us, around us and to those close and dear to us.

—Do we want it to last forever?

—Will it last forever?

Will we want only to be an island of selfish happiness surrounded by an ocean of misery?Or can and will we make a change and be a lighthouse of selfless love, wisdom, joy,kindness and peace to share with others and be a source of comfort,strength,courage and hope for ourselves and others?

Could we perhaps reflect…does our happiness depend on others or external circumstances or can we have a glimpse of bringing it out from Within?

Sanctity of Our True Nature

When we revel in nature, how do we describe it,spectacular,marvelous,gorgeous and ineffable(when it is too immense to describe).We admire the authencity of nature, untainted,as it is,pure,untouched,original!And thats why we call it nature,in its raw naked form.

As we admire and marvel at every natural beauty in the sacred moment,the admiration itself reflects our own Pure,intact and Conscious state of Being.

Nature itself becomes the mirror to reflect our inner state so we can witness the Joy from where it arises…from Within!

When we walk we can make it a meditation,a prayer,a loving thought and intention.For each step we take, we can become aware of it and make it a peaceful awareness of the beauty we are Within.

We then can bring that peaceful awareness wherever we go, however we are,with whomever we are with.We can be mindful to remember that just as nature is ineffably beautiful,so is That within each and every being!

To be Spiritually Free

What it means to be Free? It means to be authentic/true to yourself,to live in open-minded/hearted willingness and acceptance in every circumstance,to love and embrace the friend and the foe without any trace of attachments/clinging,resentment,anger or animosity.To be able to give fearlessly without wanting or expecting anything back,feeling the abundance of lacking in nothing,of having everything sufficient in simplicity and humility.It is when we become courageous to take responsibilities of all actions instead of wielding blame and fault-finding tactics.

“Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”

~~~ Jesus in the gospel of Matthew chapter 11:verse 29~~~~
To Live spontaneously in this Moment!To not be living or identifying with regrets, guilts,mistakes,miseries,pleasures and fears of the past nor be burdened with the worries,anxieties,trepidation and unknown outcomes of the future!
New Year’s Eve Reflection
As the last day of the year dawns,some of us might ponder or reflect upon the whole year to find goodness to share or witnesss unhealthy memories we might want to suppress and afraid to face again.Whatever have been of the past ,is of the past,we simply went through and experienced at that moment in time.Whats more important is the present moment,we can start opening up ourselves to learn, make changes and start afresh…..we all have the capacity/courage to forgive,make amends, heal and find peace,anything is possible!
When we truly go within ourselves,we discover there is only Love residing in each being,so therefore there is no need of fear!Whatever we will go through,there is no good or bad,we will go through with the courage to allow(accept) it to be as it would be.Come the New Year or leaving behind the old year,we will face challenges,difficulties,disasters of nature/accidents,entangled mental/emotions within the self as well as with others,physical ailments,etc…..and of course there will be happy,joyous times we want to cling on to.What do we truly want to do about the realities of life and living.We might say…..”ah! just live on,what can we do,we might also say we leave it in the hands of a God.”
In truth, we hold within ourselves,the creation, destruction and restoration of all that is good or unwholesome.If we want peace,we become creators of peace,if we want to hold on to hatred and animosity,we create it deliberately or unconsciously and make our lives miserable by it.We have the power of practicing Awareness to keep ourselves in check of all that we create,destroy or restore! There is totally no reason to deprive ourselves of enjoyments but with equanimity and balance and mindfulness,we don’t allow to be caught in its destructive habits.I myself love to have simple wholesome fun times!
I like this phrase so much…….”He who discovers his/her own self,discovers God.”
Wishing each one of you,the blessedness of welcoming the New Year 2022 with whatever each day and each moment of the year bring to you with acceptance and grace!
Happy blessed New Year!
Flow with the Current of Life(not against it)
When the mind is tired and busy with worries and anxieties and too much unnecessary unpleasant ‘story-telling’…….sit quietly in your own reverent presence,pay attention to the heart and bring it out into the open and it will speak of comfort and tenderness and loving, gentle resonance….listen to it,trust it and become it.In order to end unnecessary suffering,the mind must be disciplined on how to be silent/still and the heart to be unafraid to be left unprotected and opened so to allow all things to be.
When we fight,encourage resentments,argue and be defensive with Life, it is like foolishly wanting to swim against the strongest of current.But when we allow ourselves to flow with the current(letting go of all attachments and clinging),we glide swiftly to become One with the great ocean, with the Universal Consciousness.
To know the Truth
To live in Truth means to live free in the wakefulness of loving consciousness.We live in truth so we do not fool others or be fooled by others…we are free to be ourselves,matured to take responsibilities,to not live on whims and fantasies and importatnly to be Present and unafraid to face all that life opens out for us.We thus are not living fearfully,afraid of jumping hurdles and fear about what others think, feel,threaten or influence us negatively.
Living in truth opens the path of not being fearful of losses and attachments.Living the truth wipes the falsehood of having to pretend to be/act/project something we are not,to live a lie,to deny access of authencity,to have to constantly defend and protect the deceiving ego.Therefore to know the truth,we have to live in Truth!
Mind,Body and Spirit
When the mind is silenced,the heart(spirit) fully awakes and the body is animated to act in Truth and Loving-kindness.The limitations, divisiveness,confusions and self-centred attributes of ego is slowly dissolved through the unconditioned actions of Love and thus God(Pure Consciousness) is finally discovered and attained!
This attainment of God is not exclusive to anyone in any particular religious tradition or who only believes/speaks of god but is innate in the core of everyone,of every human being! And everyone is entitled to enjoy that Divine state of being.It is up to each one of their choice and free-will to focus and pay attention to what calls to the heart at each moment…….the world or to God(Love,Consciousness,Truth,Spiritual awakening,etc.)?There is no right or wrong,good or bad in any path we make/take for we are all learning and evolving to eventually merge to that Universal Consciousness(Oneness).
To walk the path of the world,there is no need for a teacher to show the myriad of activities that titillate the senses and sense pleasures….we are already on that path!We can reflect on this and see what this path has done or where is it leading us to?To reflect the meaning of Life?
But to walk the path to God, we do need a teacher/s to show the way of Truth,to learn disciplines and practices to tame the tormented mind and afflicted states,to centre the heart and exercise the body for sacred/humane purposes.These are ways that not many will choose as a way of living……meditation,self-inquiry and asking for answers(from reliable sources),being mindful(awareness),breathing techniques,chanting,sitting in quiet times of self introspection(reflection),charitable deeds and compassionate actions(to oneself and others),perhaps joining a spiritual community,listening to spiritual talks and words of wisdom, respecting and encouraging support for those who are doing works that help raise consciousness and humanitarian actions,reading books that speak of wisdom/truth,appreciating and gratitude for all goodness,etc.
Crisis in the desert calling me to come home!
In 1998,I was going through a terribly depressing time while working at the emergency department at the National Guard Hospital in Jeddah,Saudi Arabia.The weather was scorching hot,even the air-conditioning in the apartment was blowing warm air.It was becoming increasingly unbearable and my restlessness was escalating.It came to a point where I went through a crisis that could have caused me to lose my sanity! I could not sleep for one whole week,not a wink!Each time I tried to lay down in bed, I was so tormented that I had to get up…this went on day and night for seven straight days.I still had to function the 12-hour shift at the emergency department despite the sleep deprivation.
I tried every remedy,sleeping pills,teas,etc.still no sleep came.Maggie, my flatmate was concerned,she suggested,I go see the emergency doctor for an injection to help sleep.So I went after 7 nights and days without sleep,almost at the tip of a breakdown.Before I could see the doctor, the emergency room Head nurse saw me and asked what I was doing at the department.She called me in to her office and told me that the management were happy with me and that there was a possibility of making me clinical nurse instructor of ER.That even frightened me further.I told her that I was not happy and wanted to hand in my resignation,giving one month’s notice.She seemed offended and asked that I leave with immediate effect,so I did!
After going around the hospital getting signatures from various departments in order to get my passport and salary released to buy a ticket back home to Vancouver.After completing all the necessary arrangements for resignation,I went back to the apartment….dead tired,in extreme exhaustion,mentally,emotionally,physically and psychologically depleted of any more energy to function,I fell down immediately to sleep but with a sense of relief of the decision made to leave Saudi with immediate effect.Not long after falling into a deep sleep,I was awakened by a voice clearly calling out my name “Celeste” three times.It sounded so close like as though someone was calling directly into my ear! I woke up immediately to see who it was waking me up! I actually got up and walked round the huge apartment from corner to corner searching for that voice!From that moment,I knew I had to come home to face the unknown and that my life will change radically! A short few days later,I was on the plane,crying all the way on that long flight back home.Underneath all that feeling of distraught was a sense of seeming joy awaiting my arrival Home.
A New Beginning was being prepared as I had to wake up for the fearless journey of Inner Revolution into myself….to listen,to pay loving attention and witness the True Light beckoning from Within!There was no more fighting against Life….I had began learning from what Life wanted to teach and open out for me!
