I would like to share a personal glimpse of sheerblessedness while I was on a spiritual retreat in Samoa. Iwas in the Catholic Cathedral of Apia (capital of Samoa),sitting quietly meditating, when a little Samoan boy, probably not more than ten years old and still in schooluniform, walked into the cathedral and approached theVirgin Mary statue by the altar. He fell to his kneeswith his eyes transfixed, his hands clasped together, and he looked eye to eye at the statue, so intense inprayer. Tears flowed from my eyes to watch himcommunicate silently with his heart to something sodear and reverent. That was utter joy and a blessing forme to have witnessed a picture so delicate of a boy andhis sincere heart in prayer that I cannot erase this imagefrom my mind or from the tenderness of my heart.

When the eyes of our hearts open to loving-awareness,we will find miracles and blessings wherever we are.Whether the world is collapsing in uncertainties around us,we will only witness beauty and tenderness within the self!
